VICTORIAN ADVERTISING TRADE CARD CHARTER OAK RANGES WORLD'S COTTON EXPOSITION
VICTORIAN ADVERTISING TRADE CARD CHARTER OAK RANGES WORLD'S COTTON EXPOSITION
Being Offered is this Wonderful Victorian Era Trade Card from the 1884 Worlds Cotton Exposition in New Orleans and Rice, Born & Co. also of New Orleans.
The front of the card features graphics with a cute little girl and her even smaller sister leaning on a fence daydreaming! The back of the card has advertising that reads "A Wonder of the Worlds Cotton Exposition is the Charter Oak Ranges with wire gauge oven door. The admission of fresh air into the oven through the gauge door enables you to roast meats without basting, broil in the oven without smoke or smell, and bake the lightest and sweetest bread, and bread that will not become mouldy. Meats roasted in this way tastes like the old fashioned roasts before an open fire, and do not loose in weight as they do in a close oven. Examine them at the exhibit of the Excelsior Manufacturing Company, or at the salesroom of
Rice, Born & Co. New Orleans, sole agents for the state of Louisiana.".
    Card Measures approx 5 & 1/2 By 3 Inches
