    Description

Here we have a lot of
    three (3) wonderful photos
    from the
    First World War
    , made up of two
    Real Photo Post Cards
    and one smaller gelatin silver
    print
. One of the RPPC's is a portrait of an
    Armourer Staff Sergeant
    in the British
    Army Ordnance Corps
, in uniform. The other RPPC and smaller print shows a woman who I believe to be this soldier's wife, wearing the same uniform. Judging by the equipment being worn, the photos were taken fairly early on in the Great War. The RPPC of the Sergeant measures 87mm by 138mm; the RPPC of his wife is 82mm by 132mm, and the smaller photo 58mm by 81mm. The smaller print has a stamp on the back for The Highbury Studio at 48 Bristol Street, Birmingham. Please see photos for condition and details.
