This listing is for a fabulous 19th century Gorham Sterling Silver large sugar tongs in the VERSAILLES pattern issued in 1888. The design features a small child or cherub wrapped in an elaborate and intricate floral design in high relief with masks/faces on the unusual shell shaped ends. M
arked with Gorham trademark stamp and "Sterling".
This mark was used from 1875-1900.
Measures 5" long. Weighs 52 grams.
These nice tongs are in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. They are absolutely stunning!
