Hero full of color and great detail. The back of the card gives a mini biography of the person featuring dates and feats and interesting personal facts, as well as advertising for Clark’s Thread. This card features PHILIP HENRY SHERIDAN Here is some information about him I found on the internet:
Philip Henry Sheridan (March 6, 1831[2] – August 5, 1888) was a career United States Army officer and a Union general in the American Civil War. His career was noted for his rapid rise to major general and his close association with Lt. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, who transferred Sheridan from command of an infantry division in the Western Theater to lead the Cavalry Corps of the Army of the Potomac in the East. In 1864, he defeated Confederate forces in the Shenandoah Valley and his destruction of the economic infrastructure of the Valley, called "The Burning" by residents, was one of the first uses of scorched earth tactics in the war. In 1865, his cavalry pursued Gen. Robert E. Lee and was instrumental in forcing his surrender at Appomattox. Sheridan fought in later years in the Indian Wars of the Great Plains. Both as a soldier and private citizen, he was instrumental in the development and protection of Yellowstone National Park. In 1883 Sheridan was appointed general-in-chief of the U.S. Army, and in 1888 he was promoted to the rank of General of the Army during the term of President Grover Cleveland.
The stunning lithography was done by the
Don
aldson Brothers Co. Lithographers of New York as indicat

by the copyright line and date of 1894 on the front of the card. (This is the same company that later did many of the early American tobacco cards). The card measures 5 inches by 3 inches approximately. The card is crease free with relatively nice corners, retaining it’s original gloss and strong color. This would make an impressive display piece or gift for anyone interest

I am actually located in Canada just across the border. I have a U.S.A. mailing address, and I mail my items from the USA to avoid border delays.
Due to my work schedule and distance to the post office I am only able to ship Monday Mornings
. If I haven’t received payment for an item the EVENING BEFORE Monday the item will have to wait until the next Monday to go out. Its unfortunate but unavoidable. If this doesn’t work for you I respectfully ask that you do not bid or buy. Thanks again.
I will COMBINE SHIPPING within Canada and the USA on items of similar size that are sold on the same day.
I am sorry but ebay's global shipping program does not allow combined shipping on International shipments
