EXCELLENT CONDITION - 3 LETTER STACK PERIOD MONOGRAMMED ON HINGE - NO MAKER'S MARK OR MINT MARK FOUND - 4 3/4 INCHES (125 MM) LONG - CONTAINS 39 GRAMS OF .925 STERLING SILVER
COMMENTS FROM COLLECTORS;
The M is actually the second half of the makers mark and not a date letter. The lion's cartouche and the style of the nips would date them to c. 1760 , and made in London.
The maker is possibly Richard Mills as he was a prolific maker of nips.
